Position Summary:

  • Engage members and prospective members in conversations about their banking and financial needs and recommend appropriate solutions, including referrals to Credit Union Financial Advisors, Mortgage Loan Officers, and Commercial Services.
  • Process cash and check withdrawals, account-to-account transfers, and share deposits. Process cashier check and Money Order purchases and VISA cash advances.
  • Account for all money in individual cash drawer and balance transactions daily.
  • Assist members in the completion of forms necessary to transact business at the Credit Union.
  • Provide members with proper receipts for deposits, payments, transfers, etc.
  • Respond to members' requests, problems and complaints, and/or direct them to the proper person for specific information and assistance.
  • Provide members with account status, including current balances and loan pay-offs
  • Identify member needs and provide the services and products that are in the member's best interest.
  • May be required to work in the Hadley and UMass Amherst location based on scheduling needs.
  • Perform other similar duties as requested or assigned by your supervisor.
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Previous experience in customer service is a plus.

Hours: Full-time and Part-time positions available, includes rotating Saturdays

Reports to: Primary location - Hadley Branch; Secondary location - UMass Amherst Branch

Grade NE4: $15.00 - $18.00/hr
