POSITION SUMMARY:

In this role, you'll be supporting the company to analyze pharmacy data in support of initiatives aimed at expanding our portfolio. You'll collaborate across departments, playing a visible role in directly assisting projects aimed at meeting client financial targets, enhancing client capabilities, and maximizing market potential. Your responsibilities will include evaluating and advancing business prospects through data analysis and validation, supporting teams in building proposals to provide services through interpretation of data, conducting thorough analyses, collaborating with clinical and operational leaders, and becoming a key utilizer and optimizer of how the organization acquires and uses pharmacy data.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Develop hypotheses-driven analyses and recommendations derived directly from pharmacy related data, including but not limited to financial opportunity analyses which includes support of data validation and acquisition from client sites
  • Synthesize and analyze diverse data sets, including financial, clinical, and operational data, to drive actionable insights and recommendations, can interpret data and refine analyses
  • Prepare high quality reports and slide decks related to pharmacy data independently
  • Support other departments in constructing flexible financial models to facilitate data-driven decision-making through provision of pharmacy data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including client site leadership and operations, to tackle complex business challenges and deliver analytics support that are driven from pharmacy data
  • Create clear and concise modeling and reporting for understanding client growth initiatives and new program expansion.
  • Consolidate and interpret data for various stakeholders, including executives, clients, team leads, and end users, through reports and dashboards.
  • Provide analytic support to enable detailed understanding of key segments for tactical actions at the client's site level.
  • Able to extract data from multiple sources, utilizing SQL and other data tools to extract data from data warehouse and summarize key findings.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our data to generate valuable insights for both business and program enhancement.
  • Depending on need and department expertise required, you may also be responsible for one or more of the below:
  • Analyze data within the pharmacy department of health systems. Recognize data trends, resolve charge capture issues, and maximize reimbursement.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the 340B drug program, insurance navigation, and client operations, which drive both our growth and client success.
  • Stay actively engaged in the department by managing up, taking ownership of team decisions, and supporting departmental and organizational initiatives.
  • May make recommendations for solving problems of tools or improving processes and procedures

EDUCATION:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required for this position.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of comparable healthcare experience is required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with data analytics is required.
  • 2+ years of potential specialization experience in one of the following specialty areas may be required: hospital pharmacy, general pharmacy billing, revenue cycle, or 340B.
  • Desired experience includes working with pharmacy claims data or prior experience in revenue cycle preferred
  • Preferred skills include proficiency in writing code using SQL or similar statistical tools.
  • Intermediate proficiency in utilizing business intelligence tools such as Tableau is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, with a keen focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in SQL and other statistical tools, with the ability to extract and manipulate data from SQL database tables proficiently.
  • Understanding of payor landscape and requirements (including Medicaid, Medicare, MCOs, and Commercial payors) and/or familiarity with major pharmacy billing systems and reporting is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Positive attitude, with a commitment to teamwork, flexibility, and innovative problem-solving approaches.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with specific business processes in health systems (such as 340B, pharmacy, and clinic operations) is advantageous.

Special Working Conditions (On-call, travel, shift, coverage):

  • Minimal travel under 10% is expected for this position.
