Requirements and Tasks

This position will support theFacilities Manager and the Maintenance Department in continual process improvements to increase safety and machine uptime.

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 5 years or more experience preferred in a manufacturing facility as Maintenance Technician, knowledge of CNC machine maintenance preferred
  • Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals and electric motors and controls
  • PLC knowledge preferred - writing and editing code
  • Knowledge and ability of rigging equipment and components.
  • Understand ladder logic
  • Strongly desired: Knowledge of robotics technologies and computer applications working principles and operation manuals; ability to implement and operate them in an automated manufacturing environment (Siemens, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Seiko, Hitachi, Haas, HEIDENHAIN, Mazatrol)
  • SAP-PM and Step 7 knowledge is a plus but not required
  • Flexibility and Adaptability

Knowledge of successful approaches, tools, and techniques for dealing with changes and adapting to a changing environment; ability to adapt as needed.

Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, able to participate on a project team and interface effectively

Knowledge of the factors that influence productivity and ability to maintain focus on organizational factors that maximize operational performance.

  • Industrial Automation/Automatic Control

Knowledge of various automatic control systems, processes, and methodologies in a manufacturing environment; ability to design, implement and maintain automatic production systems/processes to improve productivity and efficiency, as well as minimize human intervention.

  • Manufacturing Equipment

Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.

  • Familiarity with NC controls and servo circuits
  • Experience in a CNC machining environment

  • Manufacturing Safety

Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing safety; ability to achieve safety and security requirements of manufacturing staff and work environment.

  • Mechanical Assembly

Knowledge of various areas of mechanical assembly expertise, skills, and techniques; ability to perform mechanical assemblies and subassemblies and related tasks such as material procurement, process development, fabrication, and testing.

  • Knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, seals and electric motors and controls is preferred

  • Robotics/Computer Controlled Machinery

Knowledge of robotics technologies and computer applications working principles and operation manuals; ability to implement and operate them in an automated manufacturing environment.

  • Preferred knowledge in Siemens, Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Seiko, Hitachi, Haas, HEIDENHAIN, Mazatrol
  • Ability to properly use oscilloscope is preferred
  • Knowledge of Ethernet communications, TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP

  • Troubleshooting Technical Problems

Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize and resolve technical (mechanical, electrical, systems or operational) problems in a manufacturing environment.
