Job Description

Position Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for successful execution of projects by ensuring compliance with the plans and specifications, meeting critical deadlines and completing the job within budget. The Project Manager is tasked with overseeing company policies and procedures are being followed in the field by the construction crews. The Project Manager is responsible for organizing and leading the team by implementing project controls, defining roles and responsibilities, developing communication protocols, and identifying elements of project design and construction to reduce the likelihood of disputes and claims. This position requires approximately 10% travel within the assigned territory to visit project sites. Travel may increase during peak build season.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or other technical field, such as Construction Management along with five or more years of project management experience preferably in the Municipal, Consulting or Construction industry.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop the project's execution plan by preparing schedule, review construction details, management of design and submittals, safety planning, subcontractor management and outside support.
  • Schedule management and project coordination.
  • Manage the project costs by reviewing manpower, equipment and material costs.
  • Forecasts Costs and budget management
  • Oversight of material procurement

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural Engineering or other technical field, such as Construction Management
  • 5-7 years of Project Management experience preferably in the Municipal, Consulting or Construction industry
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word/Excel, Scheduling Software, Autocad
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • The ability to multitask
