POSITION SUMMARY:

The Digital Content Intern supports Boston Medical Center Health System (BMCHS) by assisting with marketing and strategic hospital initiatives on the BMC.org website. Reporting to the Sr. Digital Project Manager on the Marketing and Communications Digital team, this position will assist with implementation of website content, including provider profile updates, document management, content governance and management, and more.

Position: Digital Content Intern

Department: Marketing

Schedule: Part Time (Flexible 20 hours between 9am-5pm)

Location: 100% Remote 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Responsibilities:

  • Help with tasks related to the ongoing refresh of BMC.org, including gathering content, cross-checking existing content, and creating or updating web pages 

  • Support the ongoing maintenance and updating of our provider profiles 

  • Adhere to and demonstrate BMC’s mission and core values 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications or marketing·         

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience working within a content management system such as Drupal, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, etc. .

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Strong writing and editing skills with high attention to detail  

  • Understanding of the digital ecosystem, including the basic structure of websites, how they are managed, hosted, and maintained 

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite 

  • Basic understanding of HTML beneficial but not required
