We have an opening in our Solon, OH facility for a Manufacturing Manager. Our Steel Manufacturing Division in Solon, OH currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Manager. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager. This position also works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service for optimized customer satisfaction and manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Adhere to plant environmental, safety and health guidelines.
  • Direct and manage activities of the plant’s manufacturing operations which include, but not limited to; turning, milling, grinding, heat treat, assembly, shipping, etc.
  • Lead, coach and support manufacturing supervisors as needed to ensure that plant metrics are being met, production problems are being addressed, and the performance of production employees are being effectively managed and supported.
  • Meet production requirements relative to established or changing demand levels.
  • Meet customer service, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
  • Administer company policies and procedures.
  • Interface with product design teams to enhance sales growth.
  • Identify lean improvements and cost reduction projects and pursue continuous improvement through employee involvement using lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Optimize inventory levels while driving inventory down and service up.
  • Adhere to specific business unit budget.
  • Develop and implement business unit capital projects to meet plant and asset objectives.
  • Develop employees by conducting performance reviews, providing coaching, counselling, and effective training.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in Engineering, business or related field and a minimum of five years’ experience in a manufacturing management environment. Candidates must also have strong organizational and interpersonal skills and experience working across cross-functional teams.
