The Network Supervisor manages and directs the activities of the Enterprise data networks at Cape Cod SFS, MA (CCSFS). The major emphasis is to ensure contractor-controlled availability rates meet or exceed Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements, site reporting is accomplished flawlessly, and critical system failures are rapidly and accurately reported and resolved. The Network Supervisor also ensures compliance with all PWS directives and Quality Management objectives. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet the changing needs of contract performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all aspects of the NIPRNET, SIPRNET and SIPR-Rel Systems for the Site. Maintains appropriate levels of training and certifications for these networks, as applicable. Manages and supervises network and LAN Technicians.
  • Responsible for the configuration management of system hardware and software. Reviews hardware/ software upgrade proposals and modifications. Conducts and oversees testing requirements on network changes.
  • Implements government network policies and procedures. Reviews and updates local operating instructions as needed.
  • Attends meetings and provides the local command staff with relevant details of system availability, equipment malfunctions, logistical needs, funding status, etc.
  • Implements Department of Defense cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Interfaces with government agencies and outside contractors concerning equipment installations.
  • Creates and submits appropriate reports. Requests Authorized Service Interruptions (ASIs) as needed to perform maintenance.
  • Executes the proper actions for incoming and outgoing classified documents and equipment.
  • Performs additional and other duties as required but not limited to records management, general housekeeping, safety and environmental practices, requisitions parts, complies with security policies and PWS directive publications, completes ancillary training and participates in exercises.

Educational/Training Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • COMPTIA Security + certification required.
  • Must have an Active Security Clearance or eligibility.

Required Skill/Experience

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Three years of computer maintenance and three years minimum experience in networking/inter-networking in the Windows NT environment to include domain administration, cabling concepts, router configurations, and hub connections.
  • Current Windows Server and Windows administration with strong familiarity with Cisco IOS and Juniper OS routing and switching environments.
  • Familiar with Remedy Trouble Ticketing, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Scanning and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Familiarity with PowerShell and scripting.
  • Able to provide desktop, server, and network administration in a helpdesk environment.

Supervision:

  • Works under the general supervision of the Communications Electronics Manager and Site Manager.

Work Environment:

  • Expected to be able to lift 50-pound loads with assistance on occasion in a normal working office environment and may work extended hours on weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Walking, siting, typing, bending and lifting items as required within position requirements
