Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. (CIL) is seeking a Chemical Waste Technician to join our team based onsite in our Andover, MA location. In compliance with safety regulations, the Chemical Waste Technician will perform multiple functions in support of our regulated chemical production facility in Andover, MA including:

Responsibilities

  • Management and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated by chemical production laboratories
  • Perform internal pick-up and transport of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes
  • Coordinate waste pickup by outside vendors
  • Update and maintain accurate waste logs
  • Responsible for wastewater treatment, ensuring city, state, and federal regulations are met, including appropriate documentation and record keeping
  • Receive supplies and chemicals, maintain inventory, deliver, and stock storage areas
  • Maintain the inventory and regeneration process of resins for amino acids process
  • Perform sampling of purified water systems, record sample collection in a logbook
Requirements
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • One to two years relevant experience in hazardous waste management programs
  • Current DOT Hazmat employee training per 49 CFR 172.704
  • Current Hazardous Waste certification for Large Quantity Generator (RCRA)
  • Ability to transport 55-gallon drums using a drum dolly
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
