The Spirit of the Position:

The Doorperson greets and creates a welcoming atmosphere for our residents and guests to our residential communities.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Professionally greeting residents and guests at arrival and/or departure
  • Answering questions and providing guidance as needed
  • Assisting with groceries and packages. Directing carriers to the proper location of either the unit or the parcel room
  • Assisting guests onto the property and working with security as needed
  • Light parking enforcement; prevent people from parking in fire lanes, future resident parking, or any reserved areas around the Towers and LUX common driveways.
  • Ambassadors to contact Garden Communities Dispatch for CP backup when needed.
  • Ambassadors to assist with checking perimeter doors and other access points.
  • Ambassadors will routinely walk the parking areas and report any suspicious activity.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of residential community functions to direct residents and guests.
  • Maintain accurate knowledge of attractions and activities to recommend for inquiries.
  • Relay accurate directions to guest on inquiries about transportation within the local area.
  • When not assisting residents/guest, walking parking areas, or checking perimeter you must remain in assigned postposition, maintaining correct stance.
  • Successful completion of the training/certification process.
  • Must work with or without supervision.
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
  • Greet by/use name, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, and display a caring attitude, develop a rapport with the customer base.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be open to feedback, differing opinions and other points of view.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Demonstrate the ability to seek.
  • Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service experience

Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
