Job Description

Our Fulfillment Lead is responsible for overseeing and managing the safe and efficient operation of the forklifts and other power equipment in a warehouse environment. The role requires the ability to lead a team of forklift operators to ensure that all order fulfillment requirements are met in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain forklift and other power equipment, including performing daily inspections and reporting any issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Supervise a team of forklift operators, assigning work schedules and ensuring that fall work is completed accurately and on time.
  • Work with warehouse management to develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure the safe and efficient operation of the equipment.
  • Train new operators on the proper equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including performing physical inventory counts and ensuring that all inventory is properly stored and accounted for.
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure that all order fulfillment requirements are met and that the customer orders are shipped on time.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and that all safety procedures are followed.
  • The handling and record keeping of damaged and expired products in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Sits on the company's Safety Committee
  • Creates daily replenishments for the forward inventory pick locations to ensure that there is enough inventory in the correct locations for upcoming customer needs.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Forklift license and experience
  • Preferably license and experience in other warehouse power equipment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse policies
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to plan and coordinate tasks
  • Good Mechanical skills
  • Understanding of safety protocols
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be flexible to work mandatory overtime hours as needed to ensure timely customer delivery.
  • Ability to lift and transport 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk on concrete for the duration of the shift and complete tasks that include bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English and understand basic math independently without assistance or guidance. This is required for all positions without exception.
