We are searching for a Patient Access Intake Specialist to perform a wide variety of duties to facilitate patient access to physician practice services throughout Southcoast Physicians Group. Ensure patient compliance with applicable organization policy and obtain accurate patient information to ensure patient safety and satisfaction, while ensuring optimal reimbursement to the organization in accordance with various external regulations. Work as liaison between insurance carrier, physician office and other clinical services both within and without system wide departments to assure coordination of care, patient satisfaction and that all authorizations and referrals for all services are in place prior to service. Using critical thinking skills to insure appropriate CPT/ICD-9 codes are documented for appropriate service and payment.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID 19 and provide required vaccination documentation, unless approved for an exemption or deferral by Southcoast prior to starting employment.
