Job Description:

Perform routine repetitive assembly work installing a variety of mechanical and electromechanical components following established procedures in assembly operations.

  • Perform complex but repetitive precision mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks.

  • Perform precision measurements and inspections to verify product/ subassemblies conformance to spec's.
  • Knowledge of welding methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge in use of metal lathes, drill presses, cutting tools and grinding.
  • Knowledge of Machine Shop safety protocols.
  • Knowledge in use of precision assembly hand tools, fixtures and equipment.
  • Maintaining a high level of quality workmanship
  • Adhering to production schedules and workloads.

  • Informing next level of management of any problems relating to work in process.

  • Maintain test records and production documentation.

  • Identify and recommend disposition of defective items.

  • May be called upon to assist with the training of new and less experienced technicians.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean work area.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years of experience in Precision Mechanical Assembly. Candidate must be experienced using hand tools, metal fabrication and cleaning equipment.Ideal candidate will have previous machine shop experience and knowledge of welding techniques and methods. Furnace Brazing and annealing experience is desired.

  • Ability to operate various types of electrical precision measuring tools: calipers, cathetometer, micrometer , digital height gauges, etc.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.

  • Ability to effectively relate to others and cooperate as a team member.

  • Ability to perform essential functions and responsibilities with general supervision.

  • Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics and procedures.
