We are seeking a highly capable and motivated individual to help us grow our Not-for-Profit and Education practice as an Audit Senior Associate II. This position will have a primary focus working on audits with some of the leading and most well-known not-for-profit schools, colleges, universities, cultural, human services as well as other exempt organizations in the area. You will be a key member of client service teams providing insight, ideas and confidence to management, boards and others who have a stake in the good stewardship of these entities. Essential Functions and Primary Duties:

  • Serve as client's trusted advisor, demonstrating knowledge including industry awareness
  • Lead the project management process, from resourcing planning, oversight, post project review to continuous improvement efforts more broadly
  • Manage staff on projects from start to finish by collaborating, supporting, reviewing and performing the needed steps to ensure quality standards and deliverable goals are met;
  • Demonstrate proficient technical skills for carrying out client projects including experience in audits and requirements associated with federal awards
  • Identify issues in the client service process including proactive collaboration and communication within project team as to potential solutions
  • Manage multiple client relationships and engagements simultaneously
  • Consistently meet productivity and effectiveness goals
  • Train and mentor staff via active listening and good communication
  • Foster a team environment by demonstrating support for firm management to help build a positive culture
  • Assist in new business efforts for the firm via active participation in proposals and networking as appropriate
  • A willingness and commitment to continuous learning and personal development
  • To assist and support firm recruiting and retention efforts becoming one of the reasons as to why people come here or stay here
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred in Accounting
  • Active CPA License
  • Proficient use of applicable technology including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CaseWare along other tools

Minimum Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters degree preferred in Accounting, Taxation, or related field preferred
  • 3 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 1 year supervisory experience preferred
  • CPA candidates preferred
  • Ability to manage deadlines, work on multiple assignments and prioritize each assignment as necessary
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs

The annual salary target for this job in this market is $85,000-$130,000. The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
