Job Description

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmer of America, is excited to announce an opening for a Sales Merchandiser Specialist position! We offer excellent benefits and competitive pay with significant growth opportunities!

Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Sign-on bonus for external candidates of $1,500.00.

The position covers Western MA, CT, and occasionally RI, and a company car is provided. More details will be provided during the interview.

General Purpose

Maintain in-store compliance at stores within the assigned geographical area while monitoring and supplying goods of service to each customer.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure displays are set to plan-o-grams.
  • Check and report product voids.
  • Maintain ad hoc merchandising.
  • Manage inventory levels, minimizing out-of-stock and dump.
  • Execute all sales programs POP (point of purchase) materials and work to maximize sales in each store.
  • Set new stores and perform required resets.
  • Manage in-store customer fulfillment programs to include scan-based trading and web-based ordering.
  • Travel to customer store locations as required within a specific geographical area.
  • Assist with customer service issues or complaints.
  • Complete pricing surveys as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Report any food safety and food quality-related issues to management immediately.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of retail, customer service, or related experience
  • Certification and License - may be required during employment
