As a leading wealth manager, BNY Mellon Wealth Management is focused on helping successful individuals and their families build, manage and sustain their wealth across generations and market cycles. We're seeking a future team member for the role of Investments Writer/Content Creator to join our Wealth Management team. The role is located in Boston and New York, and is eligible for flexible work arrangement.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Write, create and edit compelling content about our investment capabilities, economic and market views and investment themes with an emphasis on delivering headline-driven, shorter pieces that visually tell the story and create engagement.
  • Apply your understanding of investments, the markets, and our services, as well as your storytelling skills to turn insights and strategies into needs-based campaigns which create commercial opportunities.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in Investments to ensure accuracy of messaging, alignment of content with business priorities and timely delivery.
  • Work with marketing solutions managers, the digital team and designers to package content for multiple distribution channels in order to amplify reach and drive engagement.
  • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape and look for opportunities to differentiate our offering and investment views within a crowded marketplace.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Demonstrated years of financial journalism experience; a thorough understanding of investments; follower of the financial markets.
  • Excellent writer who can identify the real lead, write efficiently, focus on details, and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of experience creating content for digital channels.
  • Excellent communications and relationship management skills; able to earn respect and trust among business partners and team members, and to deal effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment that requires tremendous flexibility.
  • Strong project management and organization skills, detail-oriented and deadline driven while maintaining big picture view.
  • BS/BA, 7-10+ years of digital marketing communications experience in related investment or wealth management field preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel and Adobe.

Our Benefits:

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $73,100 and $136,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.

This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance and market factors."
