Process Engineer - Photolithography Intern

Job Description:

Photolithography Process Engineer Co-Op responsible for sustaining existing GaAs, GaN, InP, and Si processes and developing new processes in Photolithography in the wafer fab located in Lowell, MA. Specific responsibilities include supporting the following: sustain the photo area to meet all factory indicators; plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle; drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity, and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel. Successful candidate develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.

Qualifications:

  • Major in chemical or electrical engineering (or other relevant disciplines)
  • Familiarity in compound semiconductor processes for high frequency applications
  • Specific semiconductor skills include understanding of semiconductor device physics and IC processing, data mining and statistics, SPC, DOE, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving.
  • Must be capable of solving technical problems, project ownership and meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
  • Must display strong sense of ownership, drive and dedication to the improvement of the process area.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
