Description

SUMMARY

This role is primarily responsible for monitoring and processing investment transactions for a complex private family investment office. This role will work cross functionally with the family office accounting team, investment office, third-party resources, and tax department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Maintain investment partnership books and records for multiple entities to include timely recording of investment activity and liaison for day-to-day operations and quality control oversight of third party data entry. Assist with periodic investment reporting for the entire investment portfolio.
  2. Monitor corporate actions and understand the implication to the various levels of reporting.
  3. Reconcile bank accounts and maintain cash account balances. Prepare transaction requests for fund-related activities.
  4. Actively participate in workflow improvements for external and internal stakeholders. Escalate any issues pertaining to internal control or increase in inherent risk for the business. Automate, document, and find best practices on existing processes including assisting with power BI implementation.
  5. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Accounting required.
  • 0-3 years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of investments including basic intricacies (capital calls, distributions, in-kind distribution) and experience using investment partnership software, as well as direct investments preferred.
  • Confidentiality and discretion required.
  • Advanced excel proficiency.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently utilizing technical skills, shows initiative and professional judgment consistently to include confidentiality and discretion.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and analytical thinking skills required.
  • Works well collaboratively in a team environment.
