Responsible for UMass Memorial Health (UMMH) facilities regulatory documentation and compliance. Provides direction and support for facilities department projects.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Creates and maintains required documentation for compliance with Joint Commission, Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Reviews pertinent correspondence, communications, and other background materials daily to remain current on required compliance and standards.
  • Generates and tracks monthly preventive maintenance work orders and monitors the equipment database as it maintains to regulatory compliance.
  • Assists with project development activities including but not limited to compiling data, drafting reports, and assisting with special projects.
  • Maintains project plans and produces related project reports.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

Required:

  • High School diploma.

Preferred:

  • Associates degree.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

  • One-year experience coordinating and planning projects.
  • Previous experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external contacts at all levels, often under stressful circumstances.
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Preferred:

  • Specialized business office training.
  • Previous experience working in a facilities service's environment.
  • Experience with Joint Commission and other healthcare-related regulatory agencies.
