Foth is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Client Project Manager to join our Environment Solutions team. As a Client Project Manager, you will serve as a sales consultant, responsible for managing client relationships, building new business, and enhancing opportunities with clients managing complex environment programs.
A successful client manager will leverage existing relationships to develop new business opportunities aligned with Foth's targeted market approach. You will maintain knowledge of existing and proposed regulations related to public and private/industrial waterfront facilities. You will lead the development of proposals and presentations, identifying client business needs, develop problem definitions and scopes of work, develop and maintain long-term client relationships, interface with clients to ensure satisfaction with services delivered, work with Foth project managers and clients to ensure project success, and participate in strategic planning, development, deployment, and growth with Foth clients. This position will be working out of our Marion, MA or Newport, RI locations.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Leverage existing relationships to develop new business opportunities aligned with Foth's targeted market approach
  • Participate in development of proposals/presentations
  • Develop and maintain long term client relationships
  • Interface with the client to ensure satisfaction with services delivered
  • Help develop win/win pricing strategies for Foth and our clients
  • Help develop strategies to address client risk, execution concerns, and stakeholder issues
  • Work with Foth project management and clients to ensure project success
  • Participate in regulatory negotiations and client advocacy with external stakeholders
  • Participate in strategic planning, development, deployment, and growth with Foth clients
  • Grow to understand and respond to overall market trends, challenges, and client concerns
  • Function as a project manager or utilize technical knowledge as needed
  • Identify and support turn-key or design-build value propositions to Foth clients
  • Mentor and coach team members
  • Ability to travel locally up to 25%
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or similar technical discipline
  • 10+ years of experience in engineering consulting services in either the public or private sector
  • Previous marine, waterfront, coastal, dredging and/or resiliency project experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience in engineering consulting services in either the public or private sector
  • Demonstrated success in business development in the port & harbor infrastructure and dredging market
  • A proven track record developing, retaining and maintaining clients
  • Proven technical leadership or project management on complex, multi-disciplined projects including preparation of design calculations, site plans, construction drawings and specifications, and other technical work products
  • Previous experience developing design/build project opportunities
