MACOM designs and manufactures semiconductor products for Data Center, Telecommunication and Industrial and Defense applications. MACOM sells and distributes products globally via a sales channel comprised of a direct field sales force, authorized sales representatives and leading industry distributors. Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio.

The Corporate Attorney will have direct responsibility in the following areas:

  • Review and negotiation of strategic customer and vendor contracts and other company documents.
  • Serve as the legal department representative on matters related to government contracting and federal acquisitions regulations.
  • Responsible for overseeing and implementing regulatory compliance policies, providing legal advice and coordinating activities related to the same.
  • Support customer services and sales team on customer engagements and requests.
  • Assist other functional teams in day-to-day tasks requiring input from the legal department.
  • Work on special projects, including acquisitions, litigation and other transactions, with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Finance, Tax and HR.

Required Skills and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of relevant corporate experience, ideally in-house.
  • JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in at least one State.
  • Experience working in a global organization with numerous international legal entities.
  • Must be a self-starter, pragmatic problem solver and team player ready to assume significant responsibility in a small, fast-paced and hands-on environment.
  • Must be willing to stretch into areas that are not core strengths as needed to support business and work within budget.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders and teams, providing excellent support when needed.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with U.S. Government contracting.
  • Semiconductor company experience.
