Job Summary
This Admission Counselor/Assistant Director is responsible for assisting in the recruitment, evaluation, selection, and enrollment of first-year students. The counselor will interview students and speak with parents, travel to high schools and college fairs in their assigned (domestic, with the possibility of international) territories, work with secondary school counselors, and read and select applicants as a member of the Admission Committee. Preference will be given to candidates able to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule. Saturday responsibilities will include on-campus programming, virtual programming, travel, and application review.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Plan and execute recruitment travel in assigned territories. Make presentations to schools and community-based organizations; establish lasting relationships with school counselors
Evaluate candidates for admission. Interview candidates, read applications and assign evaluations to applicants; participate in the committee review and selection process
Other duties as assigned (may include work with student volunteers, alumni, event planning, website maintenance, or other systems)
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor of Arts degree
Energy and enthusiasm for the value of a Jesuit, liberal arts education
Valid driver's license
Preference will be given to candidates able to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule
Admission Counselor is entry-level/Assistant Director will have 2 years of experience

This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement - upon hire, candidates will need to live within commuting distance
