Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for leading and growing the mechanical engineering and design to execute and deliver mechanical solutions to meet the client's application needs.
  • Work with the mechanical team leads and staff to develop and refine our workflows and processes to streamline the engineering and design processes which include standardizing project design criteria, material selection and equipment sizing in compliance with codes and standards.
  • Responsible for mentoring and developing the team leads to support our growth objectives to align with our business plan.
  • Leading a team of engineers/specialists/designers.
  • Working with clients to determine work scope requirements and developing these opportunities in to contracted work assignments.
  • Monitor and control project costs and report variance from plan.
  • Work with the project teams to develop and review change orders if deviations in contracted scope occur.
  • Attend and facilitate project and engineering team meetings as required.
  • Executing and supporting midstream oil and gas facility engineering and design projects which include oil and gas metering facilities, gas compression facilities, liquid pump stations, gas processing, dehydration, heaters, filter separators, and slug catchers.
  • Responsible for ensuring procedures are in place to execute and verify pipe sizing calculations, valve sizing, hydrostatic test design; hydraulic design, compressor designs, pump designs, interactions with regulatory and permitting agencies as well as other engineering support.
  • Responsible for ensuring procedures are in place for the specification of materials and equipment for purchase, generating or using data sheets when required.
  • Responsible for ensuring standards and procedures are in place to develop, check and approve equipment specifications for purchase.
  • Experience with pipeline projects and supporting designs for pipeline appurtenances and sites along pipeline alignment.

We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:

  • BS or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university is preferred
  • Registered PE is preferred
  • 15 or more years' experience in consulting engineering as a project manager or senior technical engineer in the Energy sector
  • Experience in design and construction of oil and gas pipelines, pipeline metering facilities, gas compression facilities, liquid pump stations, gas processing, dehydration, heaters, filter separators, and slug catchers
  • Experience in midstream oil and gas facility design
  • Experience working in the engineering consulting environment which includes supervising engineers, specialists, and designers.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and organization skills
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to manage changing priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comprehensive understanding of design and analysis software utilized to support our standard engineering and design process

Salary Range: $130,000 - $165,000 ~ based on exprience
