POSITION SUMMARY:
This is an exciting position in the busiest Emergency Department in New England. The pharmacist will be responsible for working the overnight shift in the Emergency Department (9 pm - 7:30 am) for seven days in a row from Wednesday through the following Tuesday. The pharmacist will then have 7 days in a row off. This pharmacist will be part of a dedicated team of Emergency Department pharmacists within a larger, collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include medical and surgical trauma response, provision of pharmacotherapy to adult and pediatric ED patients, preparation of select IV products for immediate use, medication reconciliation, and participation in departmental quality improvement projects.
Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator - Emergency Medicine and Inpatient Director of Clinical Ser, ensures optimum patient outcomes related to medication use by preventing or resolving drug-related problems and coordinating the acquisition, distribution and control of all drug therapy to patients under the care of the pharmacist.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
- Work requires a PharmD or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
- Work requires licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of Massachusetts by hire date.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Work requires PGY1 residency or 8 years of Emergency Medicine and or Critical Care experience.
- PGY2 in Emergency Medicine and or Critical Care preferred.
- Work requires a level of proficiency with hospital pharmacy practice acquired with at least two years of hospital experience, and/or completion of an ASHP accredited residency in hospital pharmacy practice.
- Work requires substantial interpersonal skills towards our customers (particularly patients, physicians and nurses) and fellow employees of the hospital.
