Summary

The Regional Sales Consultant is responsible for providing the highest level of sales and service in their defined territory and industry segment. Consultants promote and sell Signode's high-performance packaging system used in multiple industries to support the needs of the customer. This position is based on the Dallas/Houston, TX area. Account size will range from $8-10 million in sales volume.

* We offer a competitive salary with a range of $80,000 - $95,000 based on experience and skill set.

Essential Functions

  • Sell through a consultative and solutions-driven method to provide a comprehensive packaging system to our customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals by utilizing all Signode products and services.
  • Develop, document, and present the value of One Signode to our distribution network.
  • Intermediate knowledge of all Signode's products and applications to sell solutions that meet the customers need.
  • Gain understanding of the assigned segment by participating in trade shows, meetings, and industry groups.
  • Build networks and relationships with industry leaders to advance Signode's opportunities within the industry.
  • Provide industry insight to peers, including product management, product development and equipment sales teams.
  • Contribute information to the sales and marketing strategy by sharing market opportunities?and?competitive area information.
  • Coordinate sales activity from quote to sale close.
  • Develop, document, and present the value of One Signode to our customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on account management, projects, and department initiatives.
  • Work closely with our Customer Service, Inside Sales and Regional Sales Management Teams.
  • Arrange an effective Time and Territory Management Plan that maximizes sales efficiency and allows the proper balance of sales calls on existing accounts, target accounts, new accounts and business development prospects.
  • Conduct yourself in a manner that represents the Signode Values.
  • Participate in Training & Development opportunities in order to continually improve, upgrade performance, experience career development and advancement.
  • Assist the A/R department collecting past due balances and ensure your accounts are in good standing.

Position Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.

Experience: 4-6 years outside consultative sales experience, industrial sales experience preferred. Must live in the assigned territory; travel overnight - up to 65%.

  • Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude.
  • Ability to use a CRM and read dashboards on PowerBi, with general MS Office proficiency.
  • Strong technology skills with social media knowledge to drive current customers and prospect engagement.
