FOLX Health is currently looking for a Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team. The Billing Specialist will perform daily RCM activities and work with the Director of Revenue Cycle to enhance and further build out our insurance reimbursement processes. This position will play a critical role in securing the financial stability of FOLX Health and delivering excellent customer service to our patients.

What You'll Do:
- Perform claim submissions in Athena daily. Track submissions for reporting.
- Clear daily Athena worklists for claim and coding edits.
- Monitor and correct eligibility errors.
- Track insurance payments and ensure payment posting is completed correctly and timely
- Work denials timely to enhance reimbursement for all claims.
- Invoice patients to collect self pay balances.
- Post patient payments and reconcile patient accounts.
- Research and resolve patient communications and balance issues.
- Manage payer portal access and profiles.
- Work with credentialing team to update Athena payer and provider enrollments.
- Support Director of RCM in process improvement and overall reporting activities.
What You'll Bring:
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- 3-5 years of billing experience
- Sense of urgency: ideally you have startup or fast paced work environment experience.
- Experience with Athena preferred.
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) preferred, CPB (Certified Professional Biller) preferred.
Salary range: $85,000 - $95,000
