Quality Engineer

Duro-Last Roofing, located in Byram, Mississippi is looking for a Quality Engineer. This is a full-time, year-round position with excellent benefits and growth opportunity.

Position Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and ensures that all manufacturing processes meet internal/external specifications and requirements
• Supports all departments in Duro-Last and other JRB Companies in quality related efforts
• Investigates quality incidents and documents results of testing and reporting
• Uses Company's electronic databases for documentation of quality related data and employs statistical methods to measure and analyze
• Develops, directs and implements quality control training for personnel
• Supervises projects involving cross-functional teams
• Promotes continuous improvement through Six Sigma and other applicable tools and methodologies
• Assist with training plant personnel on quality programs and processes to support continuous improvement efforts
• All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Industrial) or related field
• Minimum of 1 year of Quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in statistical analysis and quality improvement tools such as Control Charts, SPC, Process Capability and DOE's
• Six Sigma Green Belt or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer desired
• Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make data supported decisions
• Technical writing, computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office products, math/statistical skills, analytical aptitude and mechanical ability are critical to this position
• Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to travel, when needed, to other plant locations
