Job Description
Why do we need you ?

The primary purpose of the Sustainability and Solar Financial Analyst is to provide financial analysis support to group management and financial reporting support to the parent company. In this role, you will assist with the quantitative and qualitative analysis of our sustainability and financial data for the Roofing Business. You will be in charge to assist the Solar business in all the financial analysis and reporting ensuring the financial statement integrity.

Is this job for you ?
  • Prepare quantitative and qualitative analysis for management reporting that will include, but not limited to:
    • analyzing business unit performance focused on Sustainability:
      • capital expenditures, utility usage statistics, and CO2 emissions
    • actual vs. budget and actual vs. prior year variance analyses
  • Work with Sustainability, Finance, and operations teams to ensure annual ESG reporting is timely and accurate. Where applicable, create and implement process documentation and improvements to increase reliability and accuracy.
    • Review and validate utility usage
    • Update monthly CO2 emissions
  • More precisely for the Solar Business:
    • Manage the timely completion of the month-end financial close assignments
    • Demonstrate awareness of all elements of the business financial statements
    • Assist in preparing post-closing financial analysis, performance reports and meaningful commentary
    • Partner with the Solar General Manager to prepare and coordinate the annual budget
    • Partner with the Solar General Manager to prepare, maintain and analyze product standard costs

To make sure nothing is forgotten
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3 years of related business experience with a broad understanding and perspective of financial and accounting principles
  • 1-3 years experience with ESG, CSG, GHG or similar reporting requirements and mechanisms for publicly traded companies
  • Fundamental knowledge of financial statements, ratios, and main concepts of GAAP / IFRS
  • Expert user of Microsoft Windows software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Excel: logical formulas, manipulation of large data sets, etc
  • Ability to understand and question the integrity of data inputs
