Job Title:Manufacturing Manager
Location:Goshen, IN

Job Summary:
Manages a work area, in a manufacturing or assembly function with the intent of achieving defined goals such as daily and monthly output schedules, quality levels, etc.Supervises work force directly or through the use of work leads/area supervisors. Develops production improvement and recovery plans in case goals are missed.
Develops plans to instill improvements in productivity and efficiency and is responsible for safety. Ensures workforce is properly trained.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day responsibilities of multiple cost centers & product groups.
  • Develop tactical plans to achieve business results and provide feedback and input on strategy.
  • Monitor processes and provide reports on progress and achievement of business objectives
  • Optimize resources allocation and utilization.
  • Establish and enforce safety environment with clear roles and responsibilities, and regularly monitor performance using Safety Reviews.
  • Responsible for overall production goal attainment to defined metrics for safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Manages team for overall performance including training, planning, scheduling, staffing, discipline through policy administration, and meeting production goals.
  • Responsible for eliminating waste and non-value-added activities through use of LEAN processes.
  • Keep the facility in ISO 9001:2015 compliance for the manufacturing area.


Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of specialized field or expertise. Oversees execution of key cross-functional projects in support of strategy.
  • Overall understanding of business objectives and influence of department on achievement of those objectives.
  • Develops the tactical plan for the area of accountability as a reference point to execute strategy.
  • Identifies emerging issues relevant to area of accountability and adjusts execution plan to address issues.
  • Determines how resources are allocated within area of accountability.
  • May build and maintain relationships with constituents outside Company to support business needs.
  • Interacts with other departments to coordinate activities.
  • Makes decisions using detailed analysis, integration and constructive thinking.
  • Decisions are guided by set policies and procedures, business plan, resource availability and functional objectives.
  • Has responsibility for making decisions and managing risks that would have little or no impact on the assets of the Company.
  • Provides input on decision making within area of accountability.


Education, Work Experience, Skills, Certificates:
* 4-year engineering degree, or 10+ years in manufacturing will be considered in lieu of degree.

* 1+ years management, previous experience of managing first line supervisors is a plus.
* Mechanical background is considered a plus.
