Job Description

As a member of the Lab and Facilities team, you will be working with an interactive, multi-disciplinary team to develop, implement, and successfully manage the robust alarm monitoring and building controls and CMMS system at Keros 24/7. The Technician acts as the subject matter expert in all areas pertaining to building controls and database system management. He / She will achieve building this best-in-class program through strong communication, commitment to meeting deadlines, superb organizational skills, and an inherent understanding of forthcoming industry trends.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a safe work environment adhering to all safety procedures.
  • Perform maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, installation, qualification and configuration of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Utilize Operation System for reports to improve software system reliability.
  • Communicate technical issues regarding building equipment and labs assets with Operations Leadership.
  • Work with Facilities team members to update alarm monitoring schedules.
  • Provides emergency on-call response 24 hours a day 7 days 365 days a year: including holidays.
  • Ability to cross-reference equipment manufacturer's part numbers with vendor part/item numbers.
  • Be organized and detailed with the ability to process lab consumable orders.
  • Coordinate emergency repairs with external vendors, management, & purchasing
  • Identify and report on all industry standard key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Create reports and maintain visual management charts dealing with PM completion, budget performance, downtime, labor tracking, and others.
  • Own the organizing and maintaining of purchase orders, work requests, and associated files.
  • Assist with office day-porter duties on a day-to-day basis.
  • Possibly absenteeism function for vacation support.
  • Ensure and drive best practices standardization across all Lab facilities departments at all sites.

Qualifications:

  • Two-year college degree
  • 2+ years of experience with Motor Controls (motor starts, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components)
  • 2+ years of experience with repair of control network components
  • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Control Systems troubleshooting/ programming
  • 1+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs
  • 1+ years of experience with Industrial low voltage and electrical hands-on experience and troubleshooting
  • Project Management experience with the ability to train others
  • Experience with computer maintenance management systems
  • Experience with Elemental Machines, REES Scientific and E-lab monitoring
