This position is an information security analyst who, along with regular information security duties, can focus primarily on vulnerability management (VM) and data loss prevention (DLP).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Track and prioritize identified vulnerabilities, working closely with system owners and IT teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enforce vulnerability management policies and procedures.
• Provide detailed reports on vulnerability findings, including risk assessments and recommended remediation strategies.
• Stay current on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Participate in incident response activities related to discovered vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security awareness training programs for relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security considerations are integrated into projects and business processes.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
• Ensure our DLP environment is effective and properly managed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in vulnerability management or a related role.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys) and understanding of their outputs.
• Strong knowledge of common cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with scripting or automation for vulnerability scanning and remediation is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of network security concepts and technologies.
• Understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of common operating systems (Windows, Linux).
