Job Description:

We are looking for an assertive Engineer I - Process who enjoys working within a team environment. In this role, you will support the wafer fab tools and processes in one or more functional areas (Photo, Etch, Deposition, Diffusion, etc.). This is a great opportunity for a new college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or related field to work alongside a team of Senior Process and Product Engineers. In this fast-paced environment, you will be exposed to many processes and products with the full support of a mentoring group of senior engineers and managers.

Position Summary

Provide engineering project support in a small semiconductor wafer fabrication manufacturing facility. The Engineer I - Process is responsible for developing, monitoring, and testing wafer fab semiconductor products.Specific responsibilities can include:

  • Creating and updating documentation which describes product manufacture or equipment operation.
  • Implementing and monitoring tools and process SPC.
  • Designing, running, and documenting results of experiments under the direction of Senior Engineers.Experience with Design of Experiments is a plus.
  • Communicating and consulting with team members and other staff, as necessary, to successfully complete tasks.
  • Must keep accurate records of all activities related to running process experiments or making process changes.
  • Other design, development, and support tasks as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related engineering discipline.
  • Ability to think out-of-the-box and create unique solutions to problems.
  • Experience, coursework, or knowledge of best-practice engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods such as Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control and Gage R&R.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with high proficiency in Excel.
  • Must be well organized with the ability to present information for suggestedprocess improvements to the WaferFabrication engineeringteam.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills (English).

Desirable

  • Coursework or internship experience with Semiconductor products.
  • Experience working as an engineer in a fab environment (including co-op or intern work).
  • Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing certification.
