InDyne is looking for an experienced MWR Coordinator who manages the Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) program at Cape Cod Space Force Station, Massachusetts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of the Space Force MWR mission and the entire scope of installation recreation indoor and outdoor activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages and interests.
  • Responsible for control, accountability and documentation of MWR funds.
  • Develops, publishes, reviews and updates operating instructions and policies for MWR activities.
  • Directs and coordinates yearly social activity plan based on availability and the interests of the site personnel.
  • Conducts/coordinates coaches' meetings, clinics and training sessions for sports programs. Maintains the recreation center, racquetball court, softball field, tennis court and site weight and workout rooms to ensure safe and sanitary conditions in all areas of responsibility.
  • Maintains cleanliness inside/outside MWR facilities and collaborates with Civil Engineering Manager and Facility Operations personnel to ensure that excellent services are provided.
  • Adheres to Performance Work Statement (PWS) and OIs / procedures to include those for MWR, Key Control, Quality, Safety, Property and others.
  • Publicizes MWR programs to all Unit personnel and communicates/serves as a member on various installation activity committees.
  • Develops post-event reports on the effectiveness of each event.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintain a high standard of customer service.

Educational/Training Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years' experience in Morale, Welfare and Recreation activities is desirable
  • Must have or be able to obtain CPR First Aid certification
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

Required Skills/Experience: (List any specific skills required and amount of experience necessary to perform job. i.e. supervisory experience, certification/license, driver's license, security clearance)

  • Active Security Clearance or eligibility required
  • Strong experience related to customer service and or recreation activity based functions
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinking
  • Financial accountability, with the ability to plan and maintain budgets and process invoices
  • Time management organizational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure

Work Environment: (A description of the type of work environment (e.g., office environment, warehouse, etc.) Also specify any notable conditions, e.g., level of noise intensity, etc.)

  • Irregular working hours may be required to include early shift, late shift, evenings, weekends and holidays when the need arises.
  • Must be able to perform lawn mowing and trimming activities.

Physical Demands: (Indicate any special requirements, e.g., walking, lifting, travel requirements, etc.)

  • Walking, siting, typing, bending and lifting items as required within position requirements. May have to handle 20 to 50 pound loads on occasion.

Conditions vary from office to outdoor environmental. Outdoor work may be required during inclement weather. May work extended hours or weekends.
