Reporting to the Sr. Manager Digital Support Collaborative Media, Mass General Brigham, the Video Producer I supports the digital media branch of Collaborative Media Services (CMS). The CMS Video Producer is responsible for assisting the Project Team, Event Team, and Support Teams with their ongoing video conferencing, streaming in-room AV, video production, multimedia design, AV, and server maintenance.

The Video Producer I is responsible for completing multimedia projects involving creative design, audiovisual production and engineering, independent consultation, content capture, post-capture editing, content storage, and data file manipulation to provide a polished digital media product to Mass General Brigham clients. The ideal candidate will be a cinematographer, editor, technical analyst, audio production engineer, video production engineer, and AV support professional as required by the needs of the project. The role will also provide lecture/event and content capture services and enterprise video management and streaming services for high-profile events serving global audiences

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the operational aspects of the multimedia services offered to Mass General Brigham entities.
  • Assist clinical, educational, and administrative staff in support of their digital media needs.
  • Conduct project-based work for the Digital Media Team in a variety of formats including video/audio production, livestreaming, and webinar support.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of video and audio production equipment, video hosting and streaming servers, web-based landing pages, and offline video archives.
  • Provide on-site event support for the Audiovisual and Videoconferencing Teams as needed.
  • Communicate with clients to help deliver the best product package for their needs.
  • Communicate progress of work to digital media supervisor and to appropriate production staff.
  • Actively seek to resolve customer support issues in a timely and constructive manner.
  • Support in-person and Hybrid AV Events as needed.
  • Occasional after-hours and weekend work. May be responsible for covering shifts alone.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree preferred in Digital media, film production, media technologies or equivalent field with 1-3 years professional experience
  • Understanding of DSLR, broadcast, and digital film camera operation, lighting for video, and audio capture.
  • Experience with post-production workflow including media management, nonlinear video editing, color correction, motion graphic design, animation, storytelling, and audio editing.
  • Familiar in software packages including DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus.
  • Understanding of lecture capture, media management, and publishing - preferably with SonicFoundry Mediasite and CDN
  • Familiarity with front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), CMS (WordPress), computer networking, and server maintenance
  • Event planning, coordination, set, strike, and live event support (including audio, conferencing, video recording, and streaming). A/V systems and event space technologies such as control panels, switchers, audio/video players, sound systems, microphones, content capture, etc.
  • Video conferencing with a demonstrated understanding of networking and delivery standards. Knowledge of IP-based video conferencing systems, preferably Cisco systems. Familiarity with software/web-based video conferencing systems including ZOOM and MS Teams
