Description

Perform LC-MS/MS in a high volume of Assay Core Laboratory. Work independently under the direction of the PI and Lab Manager; assist the Primary Investigate generating research reports and manuscripts; carry quality assurance programs and specimen database regularly. Have profound knowledge on LC/MS field technology and extensive skill in analytical laboratory

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Independently performs routine biological specimen analysis for small and large molecule compounds in LC/MS/MS laboratory in a timely and accurate manner

2. Assure and maintain quality control; ensures all conducted assay results is accurate and free of errors

3. Responsible for maintaining specimen database, managing specimen storage and record in regular base.

4. Responsible for the coordination of lab activities, including quality assurance, inventory,

purchasing, and keeping all work areas neat and clean

6. All other duties, as assigned

SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQURIED:

* Broad knowledge of scientific principles and laboratory techniques

* Fundamental knowledge of analytical chemistry for quantitative/qualitative assay

* Knowledge of sample preparation techniques such as SPE, PP, and LL extraction

* High sophistication of computer literacy; computer-database application that interacts with end users; lab equipment automation.

* Good oral and written communication skills

* Quick learning, logically thinking, detail-oriented, highly organized, effectively structuring tasks and priorities.

* Ability to identify potential problems to the assays and conduct general instrumentation and automation troubleshooting

* work independently and efficiently for multitasked work on high volume of assay

* Strong interpersonal skills and good at team worker

* Ensures all work is accurate and free of errors / defects.

* Commitment and willingness to work irregular hours occasionally; flexibility for some weekend as needed.

Qualifications

BS or MS in analytical/bio-analytical chemistry, general chemistry, or related science.

1+ year of Professional Research experience
Requires working experience in Clinical Diagnostics/Pharmaceutical/Industrial Chemistry assay laboratory with HPLC and LC/MS/MS knowledge/skills and database application
experience.
