We are searching for an Billing Specialist Sr to performs a variety of duties in support of Revenue Cycle Management functions, including but not limited to the effective and efficient management of revenue related billing work queues and management and oversight of denials and appeals process. Ensures revenue related work queues are processed timely and managed per payer rules. May provide functional or technical supervision over other employees in the same or closely related classifications where scope of supervisory responsibility is limited to direction, guidance, explanation, etc.

  • Hours: 40hrs
  • Shift: Day shift; 8:00am-4:30pm
  • Location: Southcoast Business Center - Fairhaven, MA
  • Travel: Will require driving

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent education and experience required.
  • Must have at least three years of third party billing experience.
  • Working experience with office equipment and tools, including computers, spreadsheets, calculators, printers and on-line tools/databases is required.
  • Working knowledge of CPT codes, ICD-10, applicable modifiers, and medical terminology.
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with patient billing guidelines and regulations required.
