Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Practice Manager to oversee daily operations and manage specific administrative functions for the following two Primary Care practices:

  • Burlington, MA (located at 47 Middlesex Turnpike) provides Family Medicine and Behavioral Health services to patients of all ages.
  • Watertown, MA (located at 1 Mount Auburn Street) provides Internal Medicine and Behavioral Health services to adult patients.

There are ~ 30 staff members total (both clinical and non-clinical roles), and both practices are open Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities for the Practice Manager include all aspects of site operations at these two sites, and to work collaboratively with administrative, clinical, and leadership teams to achieve operational and clinical care goals. This includes supporting care teams, clinical operations, space and technology to ensure that each staff member is well supported and can effectively use their unique skills as they collaborate to provide relationship-centered, high-quality care for patients. The Practice Manager will also be accountable with building and maintaining ongoing working relationships with staff, clinical and physician members of the practice to facilitate a positive working environment and optimal patient experience. The position will be tasked with providing administrative cross coverage, as a member of the practice leadership team, to manage staffing and/or operational issues, in a time sensitive manner and testing out new ideas and quality improvement initiatives such as new processes, workflows, and ways of doing things.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate profile is an adaptable, receptive, and dynamic "people leader" with proven operations experience. The focus of this position is working well with others, building and maintaining relationships, and motivating a team of diverse individuals to work in alignment to achieve office and organizational goals. There is a need for an effective communicator.

  • Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of healthcare experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of practice management experience managing a diverse workforce, primary care experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with an EHR, Epic experience strongly preferred.
