Description

SUMMARY: The Software Engineer 2 will be responsible for creating and maintaining internal APIs, and externally facing integrations within the KAGR product suite. They will be developing a robust, scalable, reliable, and consistent integration and backend layer. This position will involve working closely with cross-functional teams on all aspects of data acquisition, ingestion, and export, and the implementation of internal tooling for monitoring and automation. Additionally, they will partner with the platform team to design and implement the infrastructure necessary to support the applications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop & implement new integrations with third-party systems, successfully manage all stages from design to testing to release.
  2. Implement security, CI, and telemetry tools into the SDLC lifecycle.
  3. Update existing applications to meet the agreed upon security standards functional requirements.
  4. Implement core parts of the KAGR platform to ensure a reliable, security, performance, and quality experience for our customers.
  5. Participate in system architecture decisions.
  6. Test and maintain of all KAGR integration tools and applications (includes troubleshooting of issues and successful implementation of enhancements).
  7. Support and maintain private code packages.
  8. Create documentation for external and internal users to use services and contribute to the codebase easily.
  9. Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
  10. Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • 3-5 years of software development lifecycle experience including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release, and monitoring.
  • 3+ years of experience developing with specific programming languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or C#.
  • 1-3 years of experience developing integrations with third-party systems
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and tools such as CircleCI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
  • Experience working in cloud native applications and architectures (e.g. serverless, PaaS, IaaS, and container based deployments).
  • Expertise in developing with a security first approach.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, data warehouses, and data pipelines/ETL.
  • Experience working in an Agile SDLC.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to all levels of technical expertise.
  • Very high attention to detail and strong motivation to learn new skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a diverse team and serve a variety of stakeholders with different priorities.
