Job/Internship Description

The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Collaborate on the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality mobile and cross-platform applications for RFID technology utilized in a manufacturing setting.

Support the digitalization and automatization of the Manufacturing operations, through innovative software solutions where off-the-shelf packaged applications are not available or opportune.

Job Duties

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code for scalable use. Utilize version control systems such as Git for collaborative development, code reviews, and maintaining code integrity.

  • Work collaboratively across departments and with stakeholders to understand their needs, translate them into technical specifications and solve them through best-practice software development solutions.

  • Ensure alignment and coordination with Air Liquide Information Systems, Data and R&D teams and authorities to develop approved and secured software solutions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Competencies

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 0-2 years of experience in software development.

  • Strong programming skills with experience using languages including Java, Javascript, and Python.

  • Experience using version control systems such as Git for collaborative development, code reviews, and code management.

  • Proficiency with Android Studio or other integrated development environments (IDEs) for coding, debugging, and building applications.

  • Experience with data manipulation and graphing libraries such as Chart.js, D3.js, numpy, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, etc.

  • Familiarity with the app development lifecycle.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to tackling software development challenges.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and experience with API integration in mobile applications.

  • Demonstrated experience with mobile application development in Android Studio.

  • Demonstrated experience with web application development using frameworks such as Django, Masonite, Dash, etc.

WORKING (Physical) CONDITIONS

  • Sitting for long periods of time

  • Use of Computer (audio/visual equipment)

  • Work Environment requires PPE and other safety attire, shoes and or glasses
