Mass General Brigham Integrated Care is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to develop new high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care.This work stems from Mass General Brigham's unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Opportunity: Per Diem Advanced Practice Practitioner, Urgent Care

General Overview

We are seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support our Urgent Care centers located across the Greater Boston area including:

• 90 Brigham Way, Westwood, MA 02090

Our Per Diem Advanced Practice Practitioners are required to work at least (2) 12-hour shifts per month (including 1 weekend shift per month). This hire could work at any of our 8 sites.

Our Urgent Care Centers serve as a convenient and affordable urgent care option for those living and working in the Greater Boston area. We are open to our patients 7 days per week from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and our APPs work 12-hour shifts. Our qualified, friendly health care providers treat adults and children (age 3 and up). From coughs and colds to cuts and broken bones, our providers offer great care for a range of illnesses and injuries in clean, modern centers. We know urgent medical situations often happen unexpectedly, so our clinics are open seven days a week. Most visits last less than an hour, so our patients can get back to what matters.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Physician Assistant Program or Nurse Practitioner educational program, which includes clinical training in family medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, or another specialty.
• 1 yr. + in Urgent Care or emergency department preferred
• 1 yr. + Clinical experience that includes the care of pediatric patients (3 years and older) preferred
• State medical license (MA required, NH preferred)
• DEA license
• State-controlled substances license (if applicable)
• Ability to treat patients in a solo practice environment
• Experience in procedures including suturing and splinting preferred
• Experience in reading diagnostic studies, including x-rays and EKGs, preferred
• BLS certification
• In good standing with previous employers, state licensing and medical boards
• Experience treating workers' compensation cases preferred
• Experience treating occupational health cases preferred
• Must be able to speak and write English fluently
