Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Project Management Office, the Value Analysis Coordinator is responsible for leading the Value Analysis Program utilizing systematic methodology.
The coordinator's primary focus is to achieve cost reduction and/or improve processes, products and services utilizing Technology and analytics without compromising quality, reliability and safety.
Manages the implementation of trials partnering with the on-site Materials Managers/Coordinators, promoting the safety of clinical staff while decreasing expenditures through the selection of the most effective and economical quality products or services.
Manage product recalls and substitutions.
Consultation and collaboration with all stake holders on any given analysis. (e.g. physicians, nurses, infection control, biomedical engineering),
Coordination with vendors for education, training and documentation of skills and knowledge.
Assists in the development, collection, and documentation of product/service/process evaluation and develops written summary/cost analysis and recommendations to assist decision-makers in strategic implementation or rejection.
Gathers, researches, analyzes, and presents in an objective, non-biased "third party" manner through researching the products through ECRI benchmarking, GPO contract pricing, and internal system inventory reviews.
Prepares and presents timely information based upon stake holders' needs and facilitates Value analysis and steering committee meetings
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's Degree required
Experience
5 to 7 years' progressively more responsible related experience in healthcare supply chain. Hospital Value Analysis experience is preferred. Lean Six Sigma experience a plus.
