Hospital Details

The Meadows of Central Massachusetts is an 82-bed transitional care facility located alongside Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts - Central Campus. The Meadows provides comprehensive skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for individuals in need of specialized medical care before they can return home or to another care setting. Many of our patients have suffered serious injuries or illnesses. As a result, they require day-to-day help while they work toward recovery and regain their independence. Our comprehensive, personalized approach to patient care incorporates therapeutic intervention and medical management. We specialize in providing short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, and respite care services.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the overall nursing operations and ensures the delivery of efficient, high quality resident care. The provision of care includes direct care along with the delegation and supervision of all nursing care in accordance with the applicable Nurse Practice Act. Works with employees and other mangers to develop systems and procedures necessary for daily operations, and provides training, information and support to solve problems and accomplish assigned objectives. Utilizes identified ergonomic and mechanical lifting equipment as indicated.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or in current program with a completion date of 2 years required.
  • Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of nursing management experience required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience in an skilled nursing setting preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management, workflow planning and staff development.
  • Ability to manage the practice of nursing within the mission of the facility.
  • Demonstrated ability to participate in recruitment and hire of qualified staff.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
