The RoleAspenTech is a leading supplier of software that optimizes process manufacturing - including oil and gas, petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process. With integrated aspenONE solutions, process manufacturers can implement best practices for optimizing their engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. As a result, AspenTech customers are better able to increase capacity, improve margins, reduce costs, and become more energy efficient.

We are seeking an Advanced Process Control (APC) Solution Enablement Director (Global Practice Director) either from within our organization or externally. Major responsibility is to work closely with our Enterprise Solution Consultants (ESCs) and/or Regional Solution Consultants (SCs) providing solution and services execution plans including large, combined any solutions that include APC. The role also includes working closely with Professional Services, Product Management and the Partner Group. This person will confirm the scope, deliverables and timeline of all APC proposals and be accountable for their approval in SalesForce.

This is a unique position for an exceptional Engineer to take on a global role of high visibility supporting both the organization internally and at the same time work closely with our customers and deployment partners using our suite of modelling and advanced process control and optimization technologies.

Your Impact
  • Primarily working with our Aspen DMC3 and Batch APC software solutions.
  • Solution credibility to gather data/document and summary client requirements and address the business process issues that AspenTech solutions will address.
  • Assist the sales organisation and Services management team in preparing and delivering complex bids and proposals to our clients.
  • Support growth of the APC business in both in GACV and Services Bookings at all times.
  • Support project teams including our partners to ensure projects achieve stated milestones, delivery dates and financial goals.
  • Maintain and extend client satisfaction levels and develop opportunities for additional APC solutions.
  • Work cooperatively with the AspenTech extended team in Sales, Support, CSM, R+D and Partners to ensure successful project delivery and completion.
  • Work with the Partner Group and be accountable for the technical assessment of all DSP applicants as well as accountability for the internal or extent deployment resources for services projects. (vi the WINS process at stage 7 to 6).
  • Be on the core team of new product launch within the APC practice.
  • Does require internal travel of expected two trips per quarter.

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or extensive experience of direct hands-on operations within the chemical and/or refinery operations.
  • 15 plus years of overall experience.
  • Background with Advanced Process Control (APC) will be required for this role.
  • Fast learner with a desire/motivation to learn cutting-edge new technologies.
  • A team player with the ability to relate to customers and maintain good working relationships.
  • Good spoken and written skills in English language.
  • Other languages a definite asset but not a requirement.
  • Ability to obtain a corporate AMEX and travel globally.
