Responsibilities

Our Houston-based, Corporate Finance team is looking for a bright, energetic individual with the requisite skills to join the team as an Administrative Assistant. This is a full-time role ideal to someone who has previous experience supporting a team of Accountants.

In this hybrid-remote position, the qualified individual will provide support to the Finance Team through the following responsibilities:


* Data entry, including journal entries, vouchers and cash receipts
* Complete new vendor and new client request forms
* Set up new and maintain vendors and clients in accounting system
* Manage incoming and outgoing mail
* Assist with weekly Accounts Payable check runs
* Maintain and update Finance Team calendar in Outlook
* Perform a wide range of general administrative duties and other ad hoc accounting projects as assigned

Qualifications

* 1-3 years of experience working in a corporate accounting department
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent computer skills including Windows as well as Word, Excel and Outlook and experience using an accounting database
