JOB MISSION:

In support of advancing the Finance Digital Transformation, this position will be responsible for all activities pertaining to the monthly financial close, monthly forecast, and annual budget process utilizing advanced systems such as MSD365, Power BI and Spotfire. Under the general direction of the Cost Accounting Manager, position will be responsible for financial activities pertaining to Logistics which includes Inbound/Outbound freight, duty and tariff analysis and reporting actuals, forecast and budget.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Month end close activities, journal entries and accruals.
  • Prepare monthly forecast, causals and Risks and Opportunities using history, current YTD actuals and information from the teams to prepare Director of Finance for SLT meeting.
  • Good communication of Monthly & YTD financials, forecast results via deck and meetings, to ensure the teams we support are pulling all levers to achieve the organizations profitability goal.
  • Perform role as financial advisor to the GBU's and cost center managers you support.
  • Works in a global environment and demonstrates process improvement between the regions.
  • Assist Global Value Chain Finance Team in the development of the annual budget package. Based on information required, work with various Operations groups & Finance to evaluate guidelines, establish budget goals and timelines to compile the annual budget package.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting/Finance, with 7+ years' experience in financial analysis with strong knowledge of all ship modes for Domestic and International transportation as well as duty, a plus.
  • 5-7 years' experience with forecasting, budgeting, cost center management
  • Strategic planning or budgeting with a solid understanding of how Cost Accounting Financials tie into one another and effect overall corporate financials.
  • Candidate must possess a demonstrated analytical ability with sound problem-solving skills.
  • Strong PC skills including advanced proficiency with Excel, Word and Powerpoint are required. Experience with Microsoft D365, Power BI and Spotfire, a plus.
  • The ability to interact with all levels of Operations Management through strong written and verbal communication skills is also necessary.
  • Additionally, candidate must possess a demonstrated continuous improvement approach and work ethic.
