Location: Winchester, KY
Position: Quality Technician
Pay: $25.36 - $30.87
Shift: M-F (Day or Night)
(Day - 7:00AM-5:00PM)
(Night - 7:00PM - 5:00AM)

This position reports directly to Quality Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the quality function and process improvement needs within the plant.

What you will be doing:

  • Conducting required in-line & off-line inspection/testing for products.
  • Reviewing hourly retains from each line and quarantine and inspect product as necessary.
  • Interacting with customer counterparts to resolve customer complaints.
  • Ensuring that all customer complaints are entered in Agile on-time with effective root cause and corrective action.
  • Effectively following up with customers to ensure corrective actions are effective and sustained.
  • Analyzing all customer feedback for trends and continuous improvement.
  • Completing process qualification studies.
  • Training plant personnel in quality system, inspections and quality checks SOP's
  • Maintaining process for document control. (Electronically & physically)
  • Reviewing and documenting Certificates of Analysis.
  • Applying statistical data and analytics from Infinity to determine excessive variation. Interpreting data and implementing corrective action.
  • Quarantining nonconforming material.
  • Managing supplier issues (SCAR's)
  • Ensuring processes for quality management system are established, implemented, and maintained.
  • Participating and leading teams in order to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.
  • Maintaining plant calibration program.
  • Effectively fulfilling customer and sales sample request.
  • Other essential duties as assigned.

We'd love to hear from you if:

  • Have 2+ years of work experience within the quality field.
  • You are a self-starter with a working knowledge of quality systems and audit standards.
  • Have good:
    • Verbal and written communication skills
    • Computer skills, including working knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint
    • Time management and organizational skills
    • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Knowledge of statistics and how to apply them
