Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor will supervise and direct the activities of the electromechanical technician workforce manufacturing Globus' advanced imaging system, with the expectation to meet or exceed the department goals and objectives as well as the overall company goals. Ensure that production is met with an emphasis on quality improvement, lean manufacturing, and organizational development.

Essential Functions:

  • Leads a team of over 20 manufacturing technicians, overseeing subassembly, assembly processes, and specialized tasks
  • Demonstrates positive leadership qualities, fostering employee engagement and open communication
  • Drives process and quality improvement by actively working alongside technicians, gaining insight into procedures and challenges
  • Conducts daily tier board meetings to discuss department objectives and goals for safety, quality, production, and cost metrics
  • Executes and implements general manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and promote standard work initiatives
  • Manages employee performance through feedback and coaching to meet or exceed expectations
  • Monitors both sustaining and launching project timelines to meet organizational deadlines
  • Initiates quality initiatives to minimize scrap, rejects, and non-conformances
  • Escalates issues beyond scope immediately upon realization
  • Coordinates with the Facilities Organization to schedule equipment downtime for preventive maintenance
  • Ensures compliance with environmental legislation by identifying, assessing, and resolving environmental issues
  • Executes and implements production schedules to optimize throughput and resource utilization
  • Communicates thoughts and ideas clearly and professionally, demonstrating effective listening skills
  • Maintains flexibility with scheduling to ensure availability as needed
  • Develops, evaluates, and improves machining and subsequent operations manufacturing methods
  • Determines tooling requirements and assists in programming codes for machines
  • Conducts accurate time studies and adjustments in work order estimates
  • Plans, schedules, tests, and analyzes samples of completed parts
  • Provides functional analysis to optimize workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow
  • Offers strategic guidance on product design to ensure efficient production methods
  • Troubleshoots programming of new projects from customer drawings
  • Coordinates with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange purchases
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs
  • Collaborates with other functional management and engineering staff to facilitate production processes
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies.
  • Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Qualifications:

  • A High School Diploma is required
  • 5+ years manufacturing experience within a highly regulated industry
  • 2+ years' experience in Leadership Roles, with experience training, developing, disciplining, reviewing and motivating employees
  • 2+ years' experience that has included leading and implementing change in a manufacturing environment
  • Must have detailed experience in electromechanical assembly and/or manufacturing
  • Demonstrated high level of performance in current and previous positions
  • Working knowledge of computers and computer systems
  • Demonstrated initiative and desire to drive change and is motivated to exceed expectations; self-starter
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to find solutions within production bottlenecks
  • Possess a solid understanding of Manufacturing principles, including Process, Information and Material Flow
  • Well organized, detail-oriented, and a team player with demonstrated Project Management skills capable of meeting deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products
